Imagining your own store!

Today I’ve decided in something interesting. Just imagine if you create a store and imagine it being around now. Any name you want, any location you want or even any time of history you’re company started. I’ve done this several times imagining in my own store in any source of ways. I’m mainly focusing on right now on a store that started in 1975 and mainly started opening stores in the 90’s. It is kind of interesting thinking about you having your own store in your imaginary world. Most of you probably are questioning a lot of things right now since you read this. Well, you’re clearly not me and imagine all the time like I do. But I think it’s interesting to think about a store you could create in your imagination. In the comments, I think you should put down your imaginary store, the company could have owned and started in the 60’s or now. 

Former Omni Superstores

In this series, we'll go through all of the former Omni Superstores that used to exited. In 1997, all of the Omni Superstores became Dominick's, here are the locations that exited.

Entire Shoppping Center in was located in was Demolished for a Meijer that opened in June of 2017.

Bridgeview- 7755 S Harlem Ave

Opened:1989 as Auchan Hypermarket, was sold and became Omni in 1991

Closed:1997. This closed in 1997 due to a Dominicks Fresh Store being build in another location that closed in 2007. The building was demolished in Febuary 2006. Building still sits empty.

A Dollar General odd history

So there is a Dollar General in Genoa City, WI that had an interesting history with me, Back in 2011, I was playing baseball, yep not that long ago I was playing baseball. If you have seen me, I’m a teenager, not a adult like you might think. In my small baseball league, there was a think called the Genoa City championship. And now, let’s take a look at what was.

Former Kmart, Lake Zurich Illinois

Today, we'll look at an abandoned Kmart in Lake Zurich that closed in 2002 and it's still abandoned. There have been plans to repurpose the property, but nothing has happened. So let's take a look on a Sunday afternoon.

Kmart, Oregon Ohio, January 20th

To start this blog, we'll take a look at a Kmart from Oregon Ohio from my trip to Super Kmart which was 6 hours away from my house. This Kmart opened on December 1, 1966 and closed on January 28, 2018 after serving the area for 51 years! Long time! This was the last Kmart in the Toledo area sadly. So let's start on that cold January morning outside the holtel looking across to that Kmart closing.
