Clackamas Town Center-Portland Oregon

The Clackamas Town Center opened on March 9, 1981 serving the Southeast Portland and the surrounding area including Happy Valley which is where the mall is located. The mall was originaly anchored by JCPenney, Meier & Frank, Nordstrom, Sears, and Montgomery Ward. Montgomery Ward closed in 2001 as the company went out of buisness which Meier & Frank bought it to open a home store on the upper floor and leased to lower floor to Copeland Sports which closed in 2006. On September 9, 2006 as part of the May Company/Federated merger, the Meier & Frank became a Macy's. The Home Store was expanded to the lower floor where Copeland Sports was. On August 23, 2018, Sears announced they would closed there store in November 2018. As of now, the mall is currently owned by Brookfield Properties Retail Group which bought General Growth Properties which had aquired General Growth a week after these pictures were token. As with the Sears, these photos were token by my mom who was in the area. Let's look at Clackamas.

Sears-Clackamas Town Center-Portland Oregon

For our first post of retail outside the Midwest is all the way in the Northwest in Portland, Oregon area for the Sears at Clackamas Town Center. This Sears opened on March 9, 1981 serving the Southeast Portland area and surrounding area. On August 23, 2018 this Sears was announced to close in November. The footage was token on September 4th before the liquidation which means some stores clearly started there liquidation sales late. And also these photos were token by my mom so that's why there are so little. Let's take a look at this Sears at Clackamas Town Center.
