Regency Mall, Racine Wisconsin

The Regency Mall opened on August 5, 1981 as a shopping hub for both Racine and Kenosha. The mall's original anchors were Boston Store and Bergner's. JcPenny would open later that year and Sears opened in 1982. You don't usually see Boston Store and Bergner's in the same mall. Bergner's than became Prange Way, than a Yonkers in 1992. Yonkers would close in 2001. Boston Store would eventually use the space for a second store. Similar to the still Kennedy Mall and Northfield Square. It would than become Steve and Berry's in November of 2004. They would relocate in the mall. So for the last time, the space would change to become a Burlington in 2008. Regency's good years started not happening when both Sears and JcPenny closed in 2014. On November 20, 2015, Dunham Sports opened in the former Sears and the former JcPenny became Ross Dress for Less, Party City and Joann. December 2016 was when the mall would be sold to the Hull Property Group who promised to redevelop to mall, yet haven't done anything yet cover vacant stores with walls. In April of 2018, the last original anchor Boston Store had announced to close at Regency Mall by June. I do have a few but not much pictures in Regency Mall. I didn't get the food court due to a security guard over there and the malls code of conduct said your usually you're not aloud to take pictures and that. But I did take some, let's get to the pictures should we!
