Why the Cambridge store closed, a really unfortunate reason
You might rememed the announcement that the Kmart in Cambridge, Ohio, the last store that was a Kmart expanded into a supercenter, at this point downsized announced closing and they would begin liquidation imidentily. In this article right here: http://www.daily-jeff.com/news/20180124/rural-king-confirms-purchase-of-kmart-will-open-store-in-spring it was mention by Sears Holdings spokesperson Howard Reifs said that the store closing wasn't about it's sales, it was about it's size. It's size so big that when Rural King announced to buy the shopping center, they were going to option 90,000 Square Feet and leave the other 50,000 for somebody else. I think that's just ridiculous because they easily could have sublease the 90,000 Square Foot part to Rural King and downsize Kmart to 50,000 Square Feet or do something like they've done at other Sears and Kmart stores. This is really said but I don't know what to expected from Sears Holdings, are they going to close all the Little Caesars still left in Kmart without telling everyone? Well I don't know.
